As host town Ghent is very accessable. Recent investments in train networks as well as roads make it possible you can access Ghent from all corners in an optimal way. Public transport in and around Ghent has a high frequency so you can reach the Blaarmeersen site very easily.
The LOC guarantees an excellent transport scheme. Either it will rely on the local public bus transport company or use private coach companies or both.
The LOC will organise frquent transport (shuttles) between the main railway station (Ghent Sint- Pieters Station) and the accreditation area as well as hotels and competition areas.
The transport scheme will start from Monday March 4th 2011 9am for the training sessions and from March 16th 2011 for the competition areas.
Ghent is central in the Flanders region and accessable in a minumum of time. It is 45 min away from Zaventem, Brusels’ international airport, used by over 140 airlines with destinations to over 70 International cities.

Ghent sports an excellent network of public transport using busses and trams. All venues are very accessable with public transport and connect with the rail net at Ghent Sint-Pieters railway station. There is also a large number of licensed taxi firms along with especially designed car park routes with give you the fastest access to the large car parks near the car-free city center.
Ghent Sint-Pieters railway station is situated 15 min by bus from the Blaarmeersen site. Ghent’s orbital, the R4 motorway, has an exit at the Blaarmeersen site. You can park your car at the large car parks around the Blaarmeersen site. High freqeuncy public transport take you from the city center to the Blaarmeersen site in minutes.
